Azerbaijan University hosted a musical literary and artistic evening “Our language is our spirituality” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of birth of the national leader Heydar Aliyev. The long and glorious path traveled by the Azerbaijani language was presented at the event in historical and chronological order. The students performed poems and songs praising the beauty of the Azerbaijani language, samples of oral folk literature. The elegance, sophistication, wonderfulness and vitality of the Azerbaijani language in the poems is reflected in the works of prominent representatives of our classical and modern literature such as Nizami Ganjavi, Mammadhuseyn Shahriyar, Bakhtiyar Vahabzade, Mammad Araz, as well as examples taken from oral folk art. The sayings of great historical figures about the Azerbaijani language were met with interest by the participants.

The students prepared for the musical literary and artistic evening under the leadership of Solmaz Suleymanova, the lecturer of the Department of Translation and Philology. The event was attended by students of groups 232310 (Museum, archive work and protection of monuments), 232118 (Socio-psychological service in education), 232203 (State and public relations), 232215 C (Translation, English language).
