The State Agency on Mandatory Health Insurance held an awareness raising event for students, professors, lecturers and administrative staff members of Azerbaijan University. Emil Latifov, an employee of the Marketing and Public Relations Department of the Agency, made a comprehensive presentation and answered numerous questions of the participants on the topic.  

In his speech, Emil Latifov provided general information about the mandatory health insurance system, its principles and the start of its implementation in Azerbaijan, noting that hundreds of vital, high-cost surgical operations are currently covered under mandatory health insurance. 

The participants were also provided with information on mandatory health insurance premiums, the procedure for using medical services within the framework of mandatory health insurance, medical services provided with the service package of mandatory health insurance, electronic search system of the service package, medical services subject to limits, medicines provided with the service package, accessing medical services at private healthcare facilities under the mandatory health insurance system, as well as a list of private medical institutions contracted by the Agency.
