Azerbaijan University conducted a training on the topic “Challenges of translation and how to overcome them” for students majoring in translation (English). Khagani Aliyev, protocol specialist and translator of the US Embassy in Azerbaijan, was the lecturer of the training organized by the Translation&Philology Department.   

Opening the event, Head of the Department Samira Mammadova first expressed gratitude to Khagani Aliyev for accepting the invitation. Head of the Department briefed the students on the topic and significancy of this training and emphasized the importance of mastering information about the subtleties of translation profession.

Then, Khagani Aliyev delivered useful information on translation profession, definition, types, classification, principles of translation, formation and development of translation skills, as well as ways to overcome problems that arise during translation.

At the end, the students' questions were answered.
