An awareness event on “Communication: Parent-Child Interaction” was held at Azerbaijan University, organized by the Department of Social Work. The event, moderated by senior lecturer of the Department and psychologist Lala Babayeva, was attended by first-year students specializing in Corrective Training and their parents. 

Opening the session, Lala Babayeva introduced the parents to Azerbaijan University and explained the purpose and objectives of the event. The discussion covered various topics, including the concept and types of communication, the role of speech in the communication process, parent-child interactions, the nature of misunderstandings, challenges and conflicts in this relationship, the importance of understanding children's perspectives, and strategies for fostering healthy relationships with children. 

Following the psychologist’s presentation, parents and children attending the event were provided with pre-prepared test forms designed to assess their relationships, including levels of closeness and conflict. The tests were developed with the participation of fourth-year students majoring in Social and Psychological Services in Education.

After analyzing the results, students and their parents will be informed electronically.
