The staff members from Azerbaijan University took part in the training organized by the ICMPD
Elmira Ismayilova, head of the Department of International Relations of Azerbaijan University, Sevlan Gurbanova, a specialist of the department, Aygun Muradli, director of the Social-Psychological Research and Counseling Center, and Firuza Guliyeva, a teacher of the Department of Social Work, participated in the training organized by the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD).
A training session on "Integration of migrants and refugees" was conducted for specialists from Azerbaijan's higher education institutions who work with foreign students, as well as teaching staff in the field of Social Work. This training was part of the project "Support for the implementation of the Partnership on Displacement with Azerbaijan (MOBILAZE 2)," funded by the European Union.
During the one-day training session, participants explored key topics including "Understanding Integration," "Legal Aspects of Integration," "Integration Programs for Migrants and Refugees in Azerbaijan," and "Methods and Tools for Organizing Integration." The primary goal of the training is to disseminate lessons and experiences gained from the pilot Integration Program. This initiative, carried out by the Ministry of Education and Culture in collaboration with the State Migration Service, aims to facilitate the social adaptation of migrants and refugees residing in Azerbaijan.
