According to the order of the Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev dated October 26, 2023, rector of Azerbaijan University Saadat Aliyeva was awarded the Anniversary Medal of the Republic of Azerbaijan “100th anniversary of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University (1921-2021)”.

The 100th anniversary of the launch of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, the first higher educational institution of Azerbaijan, was completed in 2021. Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, which occupies a special place in the history of education of our country, is one of the higher educational institutions with rich traditions, has always fulfilled its duties decently since its establishment and successfully implemented the work of training scientific and pedagogical personnel.

It should be noted that the anniversary medal is awarded to the employees, including former employees, graduates of the body (institution) determined by the relevant executive authority who have achieved high accomplishments in the fields of science, education and pedagogical personnel training, have made a special contribution to the development of these fields, and have actively participated in socio-cultural development, as well as citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan, foreigners and stateless persons who have special services in the implementation of state policy in the field of science, education and international cooperation and have special services in the progress of the body (institution) determined by the relevant executive authority.
