Azerbaijan University for first time managed to hold the fifth event of the series of European Economic Congresses in Baku with the participation of prominent economists. The Congress was carried out as a part of consistent and purposeful work to achieve the status of "Research-oriented higher education institution", as well as to increase the international scientific authority of Azerbaijan University. The event, jointly organized by Turkish Kocaeli and Poland's WSB University, focused on "Global Economic Trends".

We thank everyone - MPs who made speeches at the opening ceremony of the congress Aydin Mirzazade and Ganira Pashayeva, Kocaeli and WSB university professors, Prof. Selcuk Koç and Pavel Urgacz, Corresponding Member of ANAS, prof. Akif Musayev, Director of the Institute for Scientific Research on Economic Reforms of the Ministry of Economy, prof. Vilayat Valiyev, other guests attending the ceremony, visiting lecturers for the congress, prof. Hans - Michael Trautwein, a professor from Spain. Rui Alexandre Castanho, prof. Roberto Ciccone, Professor from Poland Tomasz Kasprowicz, chairpersons, rapporteurs, and all the members of the Student Youth Organization of Azerbaijan University, who took an active part in the event.

We believe that the discussions and exchange of views and suggestions presented at the plenary session and sections of the event will give new contributions to the development of international scientific cooperation on the rising line, and that the international staff will return with pleasant impressions from our country to their homeland.

We invite economists and researchers to participate in the sixth series of the European Economic Congress, which attracts world scientists' attention as a serious scientific event and is expanding geographically at the expense of new participants.
