In the final round of the XI National Olympiad in Informatics, Azerbaijan University – will be represented by the "AU-3" team - students of the Schoold of Information and Communication Technologies, Eyyub Hajiyev, Hikmet Gadirov, Aytaj Alimirzayeva. Twelve teams from higher education institutions have been qualified for the final to be held  at 10:00 on May 06, 2017 at the Institute of Information Technologies of the National Academy of Sciences.

In order to encourage the participation of regional higher education institutions in the Olympiad, the number of teams has been increased up to 16.

Fifty-two teams from 24 universitites participated in the first stage of the Olympiad, while 4 teams performed on the part of Azerbaijan University.

"Olympiad in Informatics among universitty students" is co-organized by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Ministry of Education and the Institute of Information Technologies of National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (ANAS), and is dedicated to World Telecommunication and Information Society Day, 17 May.
