The Conference of the Parties of the UN CCC (COP29) is scheduled to take place in Azerbaijan in November of this year. As part of this significant event, Azerbaijan University has planned various activities throughout the year.

One of these events, organized by the International Relations Department, was a certified and free hybrid masterclass conducted by the "Greenie Web" startup for the university's academic and administrative staff. The masterclass was dedicated to the topic "Digital Sustainability 101 - how to reduce carbon emissions of the internet."

During the masterclass, information was provided on the importance of reducing CO2 emissions and carbon footprints, understanding and measuring carbon footprints, as well as activities that enable the reduction of carbon footprints. In the end, participants' questions were answered.

It is noteworthy that "Greenie Web" is a "Climate Tech" startup that provides companies with the opportunity to become more environmentally friendly through technology. The organization of the masterclass for students is intended to take place in the upcoming days.
