The autumn examination session of the 2025/2026 academic year has commenced at Azerbaijan University. The session, which began on December 29, 2025, will conclude on February 9, 2026.

In accordance with a relevant order issued by the Rector of the University, PhD in Philology Saadat Aliyeva, an “Examination Headquarters” has been established to organize the examinations, ensure transparency and objectivity in the assessment of students’ knowledge, and coding of final examination results. Operating under the supervision of the Examination Headquarters are the “Examination Monitoring Commission”, the “Appeals Commission”, and the “Examination Process Investigation Commission”.

The purpose of the Examination Monitoring Commission is to oversee the conduct of examinations and promptly address any adverse situations that may arise. The Appeals Commission has been established to resolve disputes related to examination results during the session and, where necessary, to review and reassess students’ responses to examination questions, while the Examination Process Investigation Commission has been formed to investigate contentious issues between students and faculty members during examinations and to safeguard the principles of student-centeredness, democracy, and transparency.

During the session, examinations are conducted in written, test-based, and, where necessary, oral formats in accordance with the approved schedule.
