Next tranings of PETRA project were held in Finland

Next workshops of PETRA project (“Promoting Excellence in Teaching and Learning in Azerbaijan Universities”) which is the partner of Azerbaijan University, were held at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland within the framework of PETRA project (Promoting Excellence in Teaching and Learning in Azerbaijan Universities). Head of International Relations Department Bakhtiyar Badalov, Department Head of Organization of Social Work Aygun Musayeva and Monitoringand Evaluation Specialist Elchin Jafarov represented Azerbaijan University at the 5-day traning workshops.  

Workshops on “The use of technology in the teaching and learning process” include research on Jyvaskyla University, the creation and use of electronic libraries, the Moodle system of communication management between teachers and students, PhD education in Finland and Jyvaskyla University, and so on. Totally 30 representatives of the project partner universities attended the workshops.

The main objective of the PETRA project is mutual exchange experience with European universities on improving teaching and learning excellence in higher education institutions in Azerbaijan. In the partnership with the Ministry of Education of the Azerbaijan Republic eight Azerbaijan Universities - Azerbaijan University, Khazar University, Nakhchivan State University, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Ganja State University, Sumgayit State University, Azerbaijan University of Languages and Baku Slavic University take part in the project. The project coordinator is Valencia Polytechnic University in Spain. The project partners from Europe are Jyvaskyla University from Finland, University of Debrecen from Hungary, University of Applied Sciences from Vienna, Austria and Gazi University from Turkey.
