Winners of the “Olympiad in programming” were awarded with certificates

Winners of the “Olympiad in programming” held among the students of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies of Azerbaijan University were awarded with certificates. The Olympiad is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

Within 3 hours, the students solved 10 algorithmic tasks from Phyton, C++, Java programming languages. In accordance with the format of international competitions, the assessment was conducted online at the Olympiad held at www.eolymp.com website.

According to the results of the Olympiad, 1st place was taken by Ulvi Ramil oglu Sadigzade (Information Technology, 2nd year student), 2nd place was taken by Yunis Tofig oglu Badalov (Information Security, 2nd year student), and 3rd place was taken by Eyvaz Ashraf oglu Bayramov (Computer Engineering, 3rd year student). The winners were presented with certificates by Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs Yusif Gasimov.

The purpose of the Olympiad is to increase interest in programming among students, create competition, and prepare them for international competitions.

In the competition, which was attended by students from different years of study within the Faculty, the participants were led by the dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technologies, Asif Pashayev, the head of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, Rashad Mastaliyev, and the lecturer of the Department, Abilhasan Ahmadov.
