Azerbaijan University students participated in the presentation of the Book “The Heart Front”
The presentation of “The Heart Front” book, published within the “Meetings of Youth with Heroes of the Patriotic War” project, implemented by the World Young Turkish Writers Union with support of the Azerbaijan Youth Foundation, took place in Baku. The event, organized jointly by Azerbaijan University, the “Ulduz” magazine, and the World Young Turkish Writers Union, was attended by writers, representatives of the public, as well as a group of University professors and students.
The event, organized at the “Natavan” Club of the Union of Azerbaijani Writers, was opened with a welcoming speech by the Chairman of the World Young Turkish Writers Union, poet Intigam Yashar. He spoke about the project and noted that the book published within the framework of the project brings together examples of artistic works by writers who participated in the 44-day Patriotic War.
The editor-in-chief of the “Ulduz” magazine, honored journalist, poet and publicist Gulu Aghsas, highlighted the relevance of the project. He emphasized that both reading the works of the authors included in the book and direct interaction with writers who participated in the war are of great importance for young people.
Thoughts about the project were shared by the Head of the Department of Translation and Philology of Azerbaijan University, PhD in Philology Gulnar Rzayeva, Assoc. Prof. Khayala Jafarova, and department editor of the “Ulduz” magazine, poet Taleh Mansur.
A participant of the 44-day Patriotic War, co-author of the book published within the project, and poet Karam Aydin, shared his memories of the war, recited poems, and answered questions from the youth.
After the speeches, students of Azerbaijan University recited poems from the book “The Heart Front”.
The event concluded with the awarding of Gulnar Rzayeva, Head of the Department of Translation and Philology of Azerbaijan University, and the University students for their support in organizing the event.
