established under the PETRA project at Azerbaijan University.

The next event was organized for the undergraduate students majoring in the translation  at Azerbaijan University and graduate students studying in the linguistics specialty of Khazar University.

The seminar on "Acronyms and abbreviations that violate language norms on social networks" was conducted by Milana Abbasova, the teacher of the Department of English and Literature of Khazar University and Valida Karimova , Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences.

Milana Abbasova informed the participants about the topic selection, the structure of the research, the rules of writing, and the use of scientific sources in the process of writing a scientific research work at the seminar.

Later on ambiguity and violation of language norms as a result of  using abbreviations, acronyms, numeros, and pictograms in social networks was discussed.

The seminar ended with discussions on the subject.
