At the initiative of the Department of Foreign Languages, a “Conversation Club” was organized for the University’s administrative staff and teaching personnel. The session was moderated by Johnae Spain, who joined the academic staff of Azerbaijan University under the U.S. government-funded “Fulbright” international exchange program and works as a teaching assistant at the Department of Foreign Languages.

The meeting, which had an introductory nature, was dedicated to the topic “My Day”. Participants introduced themselves and spoke about their daily routine, interests, and hobbies. The session continued with conversations and an exchange of ideas on the topic.

It should be noted that the session was conducted to improve the spoken English skills of administrative staff and teaching personnel, as well as to create an open communicative environment for participants. The “Conversation Club” sessions are planned to continue until the end of the spring semester.
