The Department of Foreign Languages at Azerbaijan University continues arranging training sessions aimed at improving and implementing modern methods of teaching English. The latest session was dedicated to improving Reading lessons.

The main goal of the training is to develop reading strategies, to improve the methods of inculcating skills such as collecting information from texts, interpreting and analyzing the text, and expressing an attitude to the text.

At the training, the Department lecturer Gunel Hatamzada provided detailed information on different reading strategies, and presented examples to illustrate them. Following the presentation, the Department lecturers read and analyzed texts designed for various language proficiency levels and shared their ideas.

The next training session will be focused on writing lessons.
