The journal Social Issues is a scholarly open access, peer-reviewed journal focusing on theories, methods and applications in social studies.

Social Issues goal is to overcome rigid barriers between different areas of social science and to advance contemporary research approaches and methods. The journal accepts submissions for consideration in any discipline of social sciences including (but not limited to) sociology, cultural anthropology, social policy, ethnography, social geography, women’s studies, cultural studies, sociolinguistics, and social history. 

The journal also encourages the papers devoted to the research on the social work and social work education.
