The professor-teaching staff of the Azerbaijan University successfully implemented scientific research works in 2018, achieved the status of research-oriented higher education institution, and carried out a purposeful consistent work   to increase the international scientific reputation of the University. As a logical continuation of the work, it is planned to hold 5 scientific conferences in 2019 with 2 international and 3 country-wide scale.

The aim of the “II Republican Scientific and Practical Conference of Young Researchers”, to be held on 15 March 2019, is to bring together young researchers from different universities, academies and research institutes in the country, to share their scientific achievements and experiences.

Azerbaijan University will host the “5th European Economic Congress” on April 25-27, 2019. The event is expected to be attended by prominent scholars representing different countries of the world in the work of the international event to be held jointly with Kocaeli University of Turkey and WSB University of Poland. Previous events from this series have been organized in different countries around the world and attracted the attention of world scholars as a serious scientific event.

"Review of Azerbaijan's Higher Education through the International Perspective", which will be held in May to discuss the issues of studying the problems and perspectives of Azerbaijani education and the development of scientific methods for their solution: Problems and Prospects " country-wide conference is dedicated to the 96th anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev.

The Republican Conference on "Sustainable Development and Actual Problems of Humanitarian sciences", dedicated to the 50th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev's coming to power in Azerbaijan, will be held in October. The conference will discuss sustainable development strategies and explore the challenges facing by humanitarian sciences in this direction.

The last conference of 2019 will be "Gender problem and modern Azerbaijan". It is expected that the event, held in 2017 and 2018 years on country-wide scale,  will be organized on the international status from the begining of this year. The interest and attention shown to the conference had its impact on this decision.

The main purpose of the event, which will be held in November, is to keep in focus the issue of gender equality in Azerbaijan, to share the scientific achievements and experiences gained in this field, to analyze existing problems and to make proposals for their solutions, to compare the achievements gained in this field with international experience.
