Azerbaijan University, which has always given preference to the quality as one of the main criterias in its activities, had a success once more. In order to create a high-quality academic environment for students, the university has been certified in the ISO 9001: 2015 international certification system. The University Management Certificate confirming its compliance with international standards provides an opportunity to adapt to modern challenges and innovations in the education system, and to ensure that the educational process is in the line with international standards.

At the beginning of 2019, academic administration, believing in the importance of the application of these standards to increase competitiveness in education, made a decision to apply international standards on ISO 9001: 2015 quality management system. For this purpose, a working group of the university staff has been set up and international experts were invited.

The relevant trainings for the working group being conducted, including the definition of criteria for measuring the quality management system was followed by the ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System Certificate, which was awarded to the University. The university staff participating in the trainings was also awarded a certificate.

It must be emphasized that ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is an international federation of the national standardization organizations. The headquarters of the organization which has officially launched is located in Geneva, Switzerland since 1947. In the word, an ISO-certified enterprise is regarded as an enterprise that meets international quality criteria.
