The training on “ How to start Startup: Economic, legal and organisational basis” was held at Azerbaijan University with the support of Center for Economic Reforms Analysis and Communication, EnterpriseAzerbaijan.com portal and Ministry of Taxes. The training which was aimed at informing the startuppers who want to realize new ideas and projects, as well as small and micro entrepreneurs about legal and practical aspects of starting out a new business, brought together more than 100 students.

In the opening speech Yusif Gasimov, vice-rector for scientific affairs stated that Azerbaijan University organises different events in the framework of the partnership with public and business entities as well as NGOs to prepare students for work life. Vice-rector also stressed out that he believes such new wide range of events which will be held by EnterpriseAzerbaijan.com are going to be very beneficial for students.

The manager of the EnterpriseAzerbaijan.com portal Ayten Mammadova presented the detailed information about this startup platform and spoke of the events held. The head of the azexport.az portal Zaur Gardashov informed the students about the portal, the training “Win with Amazon” held together with Baku E-Commerce Academy and the self-employment on the internet.  Later, the representative of the Ministry of Taxes Haji Gasimov gave information about Amendments to the Tax Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan applied since the beginning of 2019 and application mechanisms of those Amendments. At the training, Oruc Dursunzade, who is involved in the Ecosystem of the “EnterpriseAzerbaijan” portal and who is a manager of the “Creative Spark” project by the British Council, informed the students about the practical aspects of the project.

The manager of the EnterpriseAzerbaijan.com portal, Ayten Mammadova introduced a new drawing of the young startupper Narmin Farzaliyeva whose project was included to the portal and who visualized the content of the debate during the training, to the vice-rector for scientific affairs of Azerbaijan University, Yusif Gasimov.  

The said portal holds informative and educative events on how to start a business and start-up. The successful projects of the students will be added to the EnterpriseAzerbaijan.com portal and these projects will be submitted to the angel, seed and venture investors to be financed.
