Azərbaycan Universitetində “Davamlı inkişaf və humanitar elmlərin aktual problemləri” mövzusunda respublika elmi konfransı keçirilir. Ümummilli lider Heydər Əliyevin Azərbaycanda hakimiyyətə gəlməsinin 50 illiyinə həsr olunmuş tədbir Dövlət Himninin səsləndirilməsi ilə başlayıb. Tədbir öncəsində ümummilli 

Azerbaijan University holds a republican scientific conference on " Sustainable development and actual problems of the humanitarian sciences." The event dedicated to the 50th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev's coming to power in Azerbaijan started with the sound of the National Anthem. Before the event, a basket of flowers was placed at the bust of the national leader in the foyer of the university  and his memory was honored.

The conference was opened by vice-rector for science of the University, Professor Yusif Gasimov. Welcoming the participants and the guests of the conference the vice-rector spoke about the actuality and the importance of the event. Yusif Gasimov said that economic development and the burden of sustainable economic growth in Azerbaijan lies not only on economic and related sciences, but also on humanitarian sciences.This growth  is possible not only due to natural resources, but also with the development of new technologies. New technologies are emerging and developing at the intersection and integration of all sciences. From this point of view, the theme of the conference is relevant and the event is a great platform for scientists and researchers to engage in discussions on the topic.

The guests of the conference vice-rector for Student Affairs of Azerbaijan State Economic University, Saadat Kandilova, dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Psychology of Baku State University, Hikmet Alizadeh, the owner of Presidential Award on Sciences, representative of Ganja Executive Power, Elnur Hasanov delivering a speech wished success to the event. Later, the plenary report was delivered by Professor Korkmaz Guliyev on the theme "The work - the reader: the problem of communication".

After the opening and plenary session, the conference continued in the departments of Language and Literature, History, Economics, and Social Sciences.

The purpose of the conference is to discuss  sustainable development strategies  and the challenges facing humanities in this area.
