An event dedicated to the second anniversary of the Karabakh victory was held at Azerbaijan University on the theme "History of victory - history of heroism". The chairman of the association, writer-publicist Tahmasib Novruzov opened the event organized jointly with the Public Union of Freedom Movements and informed the students about the new realities created by the Karabakh victory. The speech of the head of the faculty of social sciences, professor Gabil Aliyev, was dedicated to the military, diplomatic and informational achievements of our country during the 44-day Patriotic War. The head of the department said that Azerbaijan defeated the enemy not only on the battlefield, but also in the information war.

Martyr Agajan Mutallimzade’s mother Naila Mutallimzade, Chairman of Karabakh Disability Care Public Union and Karabakh veteran Firidun Mammadov, Deputy Chairman of Nasimi district branch of Veterans of Patriotic War Public Union Namig Hashimov also spoke at the event, saying that the historical victory is the unity of our people, the bravery of our soldiers, the blood of our martyrs, the health of our veterans. In their speeches, they said that the people of Azerbaijan always cherish the memory of their martyrs and future generations will remember them with gratitude.

A video dedicated to the 44-day Patriotic War was also shown at the event.
