The new rector has been appointed to Azerbaijan University. Former rector of the university Farid Ahmadov, to continue his future career and scientific activity has been dismissed with his application.

Seadet Aliyeva was appointed to the post of rector of Azerbaijan University. Seadet Aliyeva worked at the university for many years, she is an experienced teacher. The new rector has already been presented to AU staff. In the meeting, on behalf of the university, former rector Farid Ahmadov was thanked for his activities and services. The staff wished success to the newly appointed rector.

Azerbaijan University, which is the founder of private higher education in the country, was founded in 1991 and has made tremendous progress over the past 26 years. The university's priority is corresponding to the requirements of the modern use of best practices and the implementation of staff training that meets the dynamic development of the country.

At the university 19 specialties in bachelor's degree, 9 specialization at master’s, 15 majors at the level of doctorate (PhD), 1299 undergraduates, 63 graduates, 24 doctoral  and 42 PhD students are trained.

In the field of education, as a member of 6 international organization, as a partner of several TEMPUS projects and exchange programs as "Mevlana", "Erasmus +" Azerbaijan University cooperates with leading universities in Europe and in Turkey and realizes credit mobility.

Focusing on higher goals in the field of education, Azerbaijan University will continue to contribute to the development of the national education with new changes.
