Azerbaijan University continues to take important steps for international accreditation. Rector of the university Saadat Aliyeva received Alina Jumagulova, the head of the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR) of Kazakhstan, and Guliyash Niyazova, the project manager of the organization. Program and institutional accreditation standards and criteria were discussed at the meeting. The parties emphasized the importance of basing accreditation in higher education on leading international experience and expressed their pleasure to cooperate.

Note that IAAR, which started its activity in 2011, carries out accreditation of higher education institutions in various directions, including institutional accreditation, and accreditation of educational programs. The agency is one of the leading international accreditation organizations for quality assurance in education.
