Memorandum of cooperation was signed between Azerbaijan University and the University of Economics and Pedagogy of Uzbekistan. Ceremony of signing the Memorandum was held in the academic corps of Azerbaijan University. 

Vice-rector for Scientific Affairs Yusif Gasimov, head of International Relations Department Bakhtiyar Badalov and head of Quality Assurance Department Parvana Movsumova represented Azerbaijan University at the event. Rector Otabek Bozorov from the University of Economics and Pedagogy of Uzbekistan, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs Jasur Farmanov, Head of Personnel Training Section Davron Jurayev and Head of International Cooperation Section Shokhjakhon Abdurakhimov attended the meeting.

Yusif Gasimov, Vice-rector for Scientific Affairs of Azerbaijan University, welcomed the guests and expressed his pleasure to see them in Azerbaijan. Vice-rector informed the delegation about the activity, scientific achievements and international relations of Azerbaijan University. Then Shokhjakhon Abdurakhimov, Head of the International Cooperation Section of University of Economics and Pedagogy of Uzbekistan, made a report about the higher education institution he represents. 

Later, cooperation opportunities and directions between the parties were discussed. 

Memorandum document was signed at the end of the event. The document was signed by Yusif Gasimov, Vice-rector for Scientific Affairs of Azerbaijan University, and Otabek Bozorov, Rector of University of Economics and Pedagogy of Uzbekistan.
