Training sessions for Social Services Agency employees started at Azerbaijan University

Azerbaijan University has launched three-day training sessions for employees of the Social Services Agency, organized by the Social Services Agency and the Public Association “Social Rights Research”. The training titled “Case Management in Social Work" (Case Management) is being conducted by Aygun Muradly, Director of the Center for Socio-Psychological Research and Counseling at Azerbaijan University; Sara Agayeva, a lecturer in the Department of Social Work Organization; and Lamia Rzayeva-Ahmadli, a social worker, social protection specialist, and researcher.

On the first day of the training held in an interactive format, participants were introduced to the program’s objectives and shared their expectations. Then, they listened to lectures on the topics of “The importance of social work in social services”, “Key theories and methods in social work”, “Ethical principles of a case manager”, “Essential skills for the case managers”, “Stages of case management. Identification and registration”, and were divided into teams to address practical tasks and challenges.

In the following days, the topics included in the training program, such as “Preliminary case assessment”, “Detailed case assessment”, “Individual plan development”, “Implementing intervention models”, “Executing an individual plan”, “Public advocacy” and others, will be brought to the attention of the participants with theoretical knowledge and practical tasks.  

It should be noted that part of the training program will take place at the Social Services Agency. Upon completion, participants will receive official certificates recognizing their participation.
