Four students of Azerbaijan University are continuing their studies at partner universities abroad during the fall semester of the 2024/2025 academic year.

Elmar Umud, Aydan Nasirova, Shaig Ismayilov, and Roya Mammadova have gained the opportunity to study on short-term scholarships at higher education institutions in Germany, Italy, and Poland within the framework of the "Erasmus+" student exchange program.

Elmar Umud is studying the fall semester at Koblenz University in Germany, while Aydan Nasirova is studying at Sapienza University in Italy. Both are second-year students in the Business Administration (English program) specialization at the Faculty of Business and Economics. Master's students Shaig Ismayilov (Banking) is continuing his studies at Krakow University in Poland, and Roya Mammadova (Linguistics) is pursuing her education at Sapienza University in Italy.

They share their impressions of studying abroad:

Shaig Ismayilov

Banking, Master's, II year

I am currently continuing my studies at the Cracow University of Economics in Poland. All the necessary conditions have been created for students here. The Erasmus program is currently the most popular exchange program. Students coming from various European countries are not only offered the opportunity to study, but also alternative opportunities such as interacting with people from different cultures, improving their English skills, enriching their worldview, and learning about different values and lifestyles. I believe that Erasmus is a beneficial program for students in this regard. Therefore, I invite all students to join Erasmus...

Roya Mammadova

Linguistics, Master's, II year

Even when I was in Baku, the ancient history of Sapienza and its status as one of the largest universities in Europe motivated me to pursue this experience. Its location in a city as ancient and magnificent as Rome is also a great advantage.

I am grateful to the leadership of Azerbaijan University and all the staff of the International Relations Department for providing me with this opportunity, as well as to my professors who supported me throughout this process.I have been in Rome for three months, and I am doing my best to make the most of this opportunity. As a student of Linguistics, adapting to new cultures and languages has not been difficult for me. On the contrary, I take great pleasure in observing different cultures.I have gained a highly favorable environment to study the lifestyle of different language speakers and the role of language features in their way of life. This brings me even more joy.

I believe that the cultural diversity I have encountered here will contribute to my personal development and bring about positive changes. Every piece of knowledge and experience I gain in Italy will greatly contribute to my academic life that I will continue in my homeland. I also hope that the new connections and friendships I have made here will be lasting...

Elmar Umud

Business Administration (English program), 2nd year, undergraduate

Participating in the exchange program in Germany has been an enriching and intellectually stimulating experience for me. The courses are conducted with a practical approach, and the professors offer tailored support aimed at fostering individual development. I strive to make the most of the opportunity to be in a new environment, engage with diverse cultures, and form new friendships, viewing this as a significant opportunity for my personal development.

Aydan Nasirova

Business Administration (English program), 2nd year, undergraduate.

Studying at Sapienza University in Rome, Italy, within the framework of the Erasmus program, is an unforgettable experience for me. Rome is captivating with its rich history and culture. Here, the people's respect for their roots and history, as well as their warmth, reminds me of the hospitality of our own nation.

The international environment at the university has enriched my life. Interacting with people from various countries enhances my language skills and broadens my worldview. I believe this experience will serve as a strong foundation for my future career.

I strive to actively participate in projects that contribute to promoting Azerbaijan. Additionally, I attended an event organized by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Italy on the occasion of 'November 8 - Victory Day' and felt proud to represent my country.

It should be noted that the coordination of scholarship-based education abroad is carried out by the International Relations Department.
