At the meeting of the Department of Social Sciences, a preliminary discussion of dissertation work on the topic “Craft and trade in Sheki city in the second half of the XVIII – early XX century” was held by doctoral student Nurana Niyazi gyzy Mazanova for the degree of PhD in History.

At the meeting chaired by the head of the Department of Social Sciences, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Gabil Aliyev, the reviewers were Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Valiev Fazail Imran oglu, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Mammadov Habil Nurkishi oglu, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Hajiyev Gasim Ahad oglu, Doctor of Philosophy in Art History, Associate Professor Aliyev Vafa Khanlar oglu, Doctor of Philosophy Aliev Mahammad Majnun oglu and Doctor of Philosophy Niftaliev Ramil Yuzahmad oglu. The Chairman introduced the applicant to the participants of discussion and gave information about her scientific and pedagogical activities. 

Applicant informed reviewers about scientific relevance of her dissertation, the purpose and objectives of research, the main scientific innovations, familiarized them with brief content of the work, and answered the questions asked.

Then the academic staff of the Department discussed the presented dissertation and highly appreciated it as a completed scientific research work.

In conclusion, it was noted that the dissertation work meets the requirements of the Supreme Attestation Commission for dissertation works for obtaining the degree of PhD in History, and it was decided to recommend it for the next stage of defense.
