The ECAR project has organized a training session for writing scientific papers

In the framework of the "Erasmus+" project titled "Establishment of the Rectors' Conference in Azerbaijan" (ECAR), the next training session was held on May 13-14, 2024, at the teaching building of Azerbaijan University. The two-day training, conducted by the Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs of Azerbaijan University, Dr. Yusif Qasimov, who holds a doctorate in mathematical sciences, and the Director of the Department of Science, Dr. Latifa Agamaliyeva, who holds a doctorate in philosophy in mathematics, aimed to provide participants with broad theoretical knowledge and practical insights on scholarly databases, their operational principles, necessary resources for researchers, mechanisms for utilization, standards for article preparation, journal selection, and methods for improving researcher performance.

In the first training entitled "Structure of scientific papers, journal selection and presentation", the participants were given necessary information about the requirements for the structure of scientific articles in journals indexed in international indexing databases, magazine selection and presentation of articles.

The second training is dedicated to using the resources of "Web of Science" and "Scopus" elm metric databases. In the training, information was provided on the working principles of databases, search systems, author profiles, and some procedures were demonstrated online.

At the end of the training, participants' questions were answered, ideas and suggestions were discussed.

Note that the coordinator of the project is Baku Business University. The main objective of the project, implemented with the financial support of the European Commission, is to develop a national network and cooperation between universities and other stakeholders through the creation of a conference of rectors in accordance with national development strategies. The training was attended by representatives of universities that are partners of the project.
