Dean of the Faculty of Information and communication technologies (ICT) of Azerbaijan University Asif Pashayev made a report at the Scientific-practical seminar on cryptography organized by the Association of Cybersecurity Organizations of Azerbaijan (AKTA) and with the participation of industry experts. Asif Pashayev's report is devoted to the topic “Organization of student-oriented education in the specialty of Information Security”.

The main purpose of the seminar is to organize discussion of topical issues in the field among experts specializing in cryptography in Azerbaijan and prepare improvement proposals.

Following a half-day seminar, a four-day training organized in the field of cryptography for undergraduate students majoring in Information Security began its work. The training organized by AKTA with support of the Turkish company Uniflybytes and conducted in English by foreign specialists is attended by students of the ICT Faculty Amin Agayev, Ramin Babayev, Fatma Kamarbandi and Sitara Huseynova. At the end of the training, which will last from June 12 to 16, it is also planned to hold a knowledge competition in the field of cryptography in the format of CTF (Capture the Flag) among the participants. It is planned to award the winners of the competition and publicize their results.
