The Department of Foreign Languages at Azerbaijan University continues its successful series of training sessions aimed at developing academic writing skills. The next session focused on the topic of the “Argumentative Essay” and was conducted by Department lecturer Sabahat Hajiyeva.

During this interactive training, Sabahat Hajiyeva provided participants with in-depth insights into the structure of an argumentative essay, rules for effective writing, constructing logical arguments, addressing opposing viewpoints, writing in a persuasive yet objective style, and applying academic citation methods.

Participants had the opportunity to enhance their essay writing skills through a range of individual and group exercises, real-life examples, and brainstorming techniques.

It is worth noting that the primary goal of the training series is to cultivate students’ academic writing competencies and foster scientific and analytical thinking. The Department of Foreign Languages plans to continue and expand these initiatives to further strengthen students’ linguistic and writing proficiency.
