Guba Summer School for Social Work specialty students, jointly organized by The Social Times club operating under Azerbaijan University and Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, has ended. Training sessions of the summer school attended by about 20 students were coordinated by Aykhan Gahramanov, social worker and motivator, lecturer of the Department of Social Work Organization of Azerbaijan University.

Various trainings aimed at improving the professional knowledge and skills of the participants, as well as their personal development were organized at the summer school. Punhani Askerli, a lecturer at Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts, conducted a training on the topic “Learning How to Learn”, Gulgadam Farmanli, an employee of DOST Agency, on “Social work and social activity”, Rasul Dadashov, an employee of Social Services Agency, on “Communication skills in social work”, Jasur Madatzade, 4th-year student of Azerbaijan University majoring in Social Work, President of the Baku Representative Office of the European Student Forum (AEGEE), on “Personal development”.

Trips to the historical, cultural and tourist spots of Guba were also organized for participants of the summer school.

The project aims to achieve integration and cooperation of students majoring in Social Work at various universities in Azerbaijan, as well as the formation of their social work skills. Taking into account the interest of students, it is planned to continue the project in the future and make it traditional.
