The presentation of the Education Student Loan Fund (ESLF) was held for the students of Azerbaijan University studying on a paid basis. The information about the activities of the foundation and its work, as well as the rules for issuing educational loans was given at the event. Opening the event, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs Yusif Gasimov said that the establishment of the Education Student Loan Fund is one of the most obvious examples of state care for education in our country. Offering new opportunities for students, the foundation serves important missions, such as ensuring access to higher education and creating equal opportunities in education. Tehranaga Abdullayev, head of the finance department of the Education Student Loan Fund, said that the fund was established by the decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated June 17, 2021. The authorized capital of the fund is 80 million manat. The results of applications for student loans for the fall semester of the 2021/2022 academic year have been announced. 50 students of the University of Azerbaijan benefited from educational student loans, 17 students were provided with social loans, and 33 students were provided with standard types of student loans. Applications for the spring semester continue. The guest speakers spoke about international and local experience in the field of student loans, those eligible for student loans, general requirements for student loans from the fund, types of student loans, loan procedures, interest rates on student loans, discounts on student loans, provided information on loan repayment requirements, application and registration process, and other issues related to student loans.
