The terms  of “ Volunteer”  Student  Scholarship Program, established on the  initiative of Azerbaijan University, ASAN  Volunteers Organisation and the educational-facebook page      (https:www.facebook.com/eduaz/), of “ Azerbaijan Universities ” has been announced to the public. The Program aims  to support personal development, progressive ideas and initiatives of  university students. The main goal of the program is to propagate the public support of  volunteers’ activity  among the youth. The Program was established according to the item 5.7.5  of the State Program “ Azerbaijan Youth  2017-2020 “ confirmed by the decree of  the Prezident of Azerbaijan Republic of  September 15, 2017.

All students of Azerbaijan universities who are citizens of the Azerbaijan Republic, irrespective of their majors, have the right to apply to the program. Taking into account the opinions of social network users, no restrictions were placed on the application to the Scholarship Program.

The preference will be given to the youth having volunteered in the European Games, Islamic Games, Eurovision Song Contest, Race Competition Formula-1 , FIFA U-17, World Championship among Women, Public Union “ Regional Development” , IDEA Public Union, Youth Movement Public Union “ Young”, ASAN Volunteers Organization, IRELI Public Union, Educational Center for Youth, The Union of  Student Youth Organisation of Azerbaijan,  “ One” Student Volunteer Program and Union Nation Organization (UNO).

To apply to the program, students have to prepare a presentation on one of the topics stated in the announcement and upload it to the stated electronic link. The presentation must be in the format of coloured PDF or Word, consist of 15 pages  and  have size of 10 MB.  It should be noted that presentations must be dedicated to the development of social innovations, information technologies serving to improve social services, and agricultural tourism

The applications for competition will be admitted by 6 p.m, November 25, 2017 and  scholarship  holders will be anounced on the occasion of International Volunteers Day , on December 5

“Volunteer” Student Scholarship program was funded through the sales of the book “ Start if you are young !” which was written by Nadir Adilov, Assosiate Professor of Azerbaijan University and approved for publishing by the Scientific Council of Azerbaijan University.

The total amount of Scholarsip Foundation is 3000 AZN, which will be divided into one-time scholarship of 500 AZN between 6 winners of the competion.  To promote non-cash payments, the money for scholarship can be transferred to the account of the university the student is studying in. If the volunteering student is a free tuition student, the amount will be transfered to the student’s  private bank account .
