An event dedicated to “October 18 – The Day of Restoration of Independence” was organized by the Department of Foreign Languages at Azerbaijan University. Head of the Department Aygun Gasymova opened the event, which started with the performance of the National Anthem, and informed about the restoration and preservation of the state independence of Azerbaijan. Head of the department noted that the victory won in the 44-day Patriotic War once again proved that the independence of Azerbaijan is eternal and irreversible.

Then the students' speeches were heard.

1st year students majoring in international relations Fatima Ahmadli made a presentation on the day of restoration of independence, and Natella Saadova recited Mammad Araz's poem “Azerbaijan is my world”.

Then students Aytaj Mammadova, Jamila Abbasova, Hulya Ahmadova performed the folk dance “Uzundara” and the song “Azerbaijan”.

At the end, a keepsake photo was taken.
