In Fall term of 2016-2017 academic year, 48 students have been assigned scholarship within the framework of “Internal scholarship program”. Being state scholarship holders at the same time, two of the students will be receiving 304,5 AZN monthly.

Under “Internal scholarship program” funded by Azerbaijan University, 42 undergraduate and 6 graduate students have been assigned scholarship in the following amounts: 10 students – 200 AZN, 2 students – 100 AZN, 34 students – 75 AZN and 2 students – 50 AZN. Out of these, 24 students belong to the School of Humanities, 10 to the School of Business and Economics, 7 to the School of Social Work and 1 to that of Information Technologies.

Scolarship, the sum of which is based on students’ academic performance and spring term exam results, will be awarded from September 2016 to January 2017.

In fall term, 14 university students will be receiving state scolarship. Meeting the requirements for internal university scolarship, Nurana Samadzada (senior student majoring in Azerbaijan lanuage and literature) and Elnara Iskandarova (senior student majoring in the English Language) will be awarded a dual scholarship making up 304,5 AZN per month.

“Internal Scholarship and Tuition Fee Discounts Program” at Azerbaijan University has been running since academic year 2013-2014. Scholarship ranging from 50 AZN to 200 AZN is offered to fee-based students with full course load. The amount received by a scholarship holder is detemined based on their entrance scores and academic performance.

Furthermore, Azerbaijan University students with high intellectual abilities are made significant discounts in tuition fees. Thus, students admitted to university with the score of 420 points and higher will benefit from the following discounts in tuition fees.

  • 420-489 points: 25%
  • 490-559 points: 50%
  • 560-629 points: 75%
  • 630-700 points: 100%

Those admitted at and over 600 points are exempt from paying tuition fees for 4 years. While their education is funded by the university budget, the other tuition fee discounts are only applied in the first year of studies. Starting from the second year, students are able to receive scolarship in the amount of 50 AZN, 75 AZN, 100 AZN and 200 AZN.

The terms for scolarship for undergraduate students are as follows:

  • Students with average performance of 83,0 – 86,9 points and grades of A and B will receive 50 AZN.
  • Students with average performance of 87 points and higher and grades of A and B will receive 75 AZN.
  • Students with average performance of 90-93 points and grades of A will receive 100 AZN.
  • Students with average performance of over 93 points and grades of A will receive 200 AZN.

The terms for scolarship for graduate students are as follows:

  • Students with average performance of 87 points and higher and grades of Aand B will receive 75 AZN.
  • Students with average performance of over 90 points and grades of A will receive 100 AZN.
