IT team of Azerbaijan University has won the first place for the nomination “Internet of things” in the local  final of the international championship “Golden Byte”.

IT team consisting of Mammad Kerimli (Computer engineering), Tural Selimli (Finance), Fehmin Zakirli (Computer engineering) have competed in the contest with the project “Controlling The Flow Of Electricity”.

The International Championship is held under auspices STEP IT Academy. The participants who won the first place in each nomination  will present Azerbaijan in the international final in Kiev and compete for 20 thousands dollars on April 22-23.

The championship is being held for 9 years and it is the first time that Azerbaijan takes part in this competition. 780 participants have been registered, 450 ones have been choosen for rounds and 100 students for final in local competition of Azerbaijan Republic.

The aim of holding championship is to accelerate the development of information technologies, to discover talented young people, to ensure them to communicate with well-known experts and to support projects.
