Azerbaijan University Student Youth Organization (AUSYO) is celebrating its 10th anniversary.The organisation was established, according to the decree dated February 15, 2005, of the Head of Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, in 2006. Kamil Dadashov (2006-2009 graduate) was the first chairman of the AUSYO. In subsequent years, Jeyhun Mamadov (2009 - 2010), Narmin Huseynzade (2010 - 2011), Orkhan Sultanov (2011 - 2014), Nasimi Musayev (2014 - 2016) presided over the organisation. The current chairman of the University Student Youth Organization is Javidan Heybatzadeh (Social Work, III course). 

The organisation has implemented a number of projects and events during its activity. The AUSYO was selected the best "Student Youth Organization" of the year in the "The best of the best-2013" Award Presentation Ceremony, dedicated to the results of the current year, organised by the Main Department of Youth and Sport of Baku. AUSYO was awarded the honorary diploma on the occasion of "February 2 - Azerbaijan Youth Day" by the  Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Main Department of Youth and Sport of Baku. The team of AUSYO was awarded the honour diploma for its active participation in the implementation of the "State Program on Azerbaijani Youth in 2011-2015".

The main objective of the organisation towards the implementation of the state youth policy is to represent and protect the interests of each student individually and provide their active participation in the  public, cultural, social and economic life of the country.
