Azerbaijan University is going to hold another international conference. At the conference entitled "Ethnogenesis of the Azerbaijani people and the issue of national identity", which is scheduled to be held on October 28, 2022, the evidence of the Azerbaijani Turks living in the Caucasus since ancient times, their relations with their neighbors, the analysis of the ethnogenesis of the Azerbaijani people in the context of ethnic processes in the Caucasus, the factors influencing the formation of the Caucasian peoples, ethnogenesis in the philological way of thinking will be discussed. Issues, philosophical aspects of ethnogenesis and identity, as well as the examination of elements of national identity in culture and art samples are intended to be discussed.

At the plenary session of the international conference, Academician Yagub Mahmudov, a full member of ANAS, will deliver a speech on "How the process of the formation of the Azerbaijani people was falsified", and Academician Nizami Jafarov, full member of ANAS, will deliver a speech on "Ethno-language processes in Azerbaijan in ancient times".

The deadline for submitting theses for the conference to be organized in 4 scientific directions has ended.
