Azerbaijan university plans to hold two international and two republicans in total four scientific conferences in 2021.

The purpose of the “IV Republican Scientific-Practical Conference of Young Researchers” to be held on April 9, 2021, is to bring together young researchers working in various universities, academies, and research institutes in the country, to share their scientific achievements and experiences. The conference is dedicated to the 98th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

President Ilham Aliyev has declared 2021 the “Year of Nizami Ganjavi” in Azerbaijan as the celebration of the 880th anniversary of the great Azerbaijani poet and thinker Nizami Ganjavi. Concerning this significant event, several events are planned at Azerbaijan University, including a scientific conference dedicated to the study of the genius poet`s creativity and rich heritage. The Republican Conference “ Nizami Ganjavi`s works as a literary and historical source in the study of the ethnogenesis of the Azerbaijani people in the context of the Caucasus and the Turkic world” will be held on May 7, 2021.

The date of the international conference “Data Safety: Problems and Prospects” organizing jointly with Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics in Ukraine, is October 22, 2021.

The last conference of 2021 will be “Gender problems and Modern Azerbaijan.” The event, held at the national level in 2017 and 2018, has started to be organized as an international conference since 2019. The main aim of the event, conducting on November 19, 2021, in partnership with Middlesex University in the UK, is to focus on gender equality in Azerbaijan, share scientific achievements and experiences in this field, analyze existing problems and make suggestions for solutions, compare the country`s achievements in this area with international experience.

The layout of the scientific conferences will be determined depending on the course of the pandemic.
