A photo exhibition entitled "44" has opened at Azerbaijan University as a part of Victory Day events. The exhibition, dedicated to the first anniversary of Azerbaijan's victory in the 44-day Patriotic War, consists of four parts: "Occupation", "War", "Victory" and "Return".

The photo exhibition has a look at the historical path of our people since the beginning of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in 1988.

Along with the severe fragments of the ruined houses of the occupation period, refugee life, Khojaly genocide, the freedom of our lands after 30 years of longing for the homeland, ensuring the territorial integrity of our country, the courage of the Azerbaijani soldier who won the war with great victory over the enemy, Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev's comprehensive command ability both on the political- ideological front and in the field of leading military operations and his unshakable confidence in our people and army were also reflected thoroughly in the photo exhibition consisting of 44 photos.

The photo exhibition also demonstrates the heavy damage caused to the material and cultural heritage of our people in Karabakh during the occupation.

One of the most memorable events of our last 30- year history is the Victory Parade, which demonstrates the military power of our country to the world. The photo exhibition "44" also includes photos of the passage of our victorious army, which marched on Azadlig Square with great enthusiasm and pride, the great return process carrying out at a high level in Karabakh and East Zangazur - restoration,landscaping and construction work.
