A meeting on scientific activity and evaluation of scientific works carried out in the departments was conducted at Azerbaijan University. The Vice-Rector for Science Yusif Gasimov, the Rector's Advisor, the Head of the Master and Doctorate Department Nushaba Guliyeva, faculty deans and head of departments participated at the meeting - organized by the Department of Science.

At the event, it was noted that Azerbaijan University carried out a lot work on the direction of the Cabinet of Ministers, December, 29th, 2017 regulations which was required approving criteria for getting research-oriented university status. It was marked that the essentially primary results of the effective work on the acquisition of the status of research-oriented higher education institution are proved.

The participants were also informed about innovations in scientific reports of university staff, mechanisms and criteria for evaluating scientific and pedagogical activity for 2018.

The meeting continued with the discussion on the organization of scientific activities of the university. Vice-rector for Science Yusif Gasimov and Head of Science Department Latifa Aghamaliyeva answered the questions of the participants and listened to their suggestions.
