The seminar on the topic of “Career in IT development” was held to the students of Azerbaijan University

The seminar on the topic of “Career in IT development and use of e-government solutions” was held by the operator of Electronic Government Portal – The Republic of Azerbaijan Ministry of Communications and High Technologies  Data Processing Center.

 

Asif Pashayev, the dean of the School of Information Communication Technologies started the event with his speech and presented the guests to the participants. The dean stated that, the aim of the seminar is to give information to the future specialists about the perpectives of IT, to convey the importance of IT knowledge as well as to deliver the innovations happening in this field in our country to agreat number of students.

 

One of the lecturers - Rauf Jabbarov, the director of E-Government Training Center informed the participants about the activity of the center. The specialist gave detailed information about professions and certificate programs related to information technologies and programming, the opportunities of center infrastructure and labs, conducted trainings and applied volunteering program. Rauf Jabbarov also gave to the students of different majors his recommendations on the possibilities of business and career development in the field of IT.  

 

The presentation about Electronic Government Portal was demonstrated in the second part of the seminar. Elvin Jafarov, the specialist of the centerspoke about Electronic Government Portal and the rules of using this portal. The specialist gave information about the advantages of the portal, e-services and references  offered through the portal, references and e-signature.

 

After the informative session “E-Government Portal”, the most used services have been tested by the teachers and students. The seminar continued with discussions and question-answer.

 

In the end one student was selected among the participants of survey of E-Government Training Center and rewarded with “Electronic signature”.

 

The lucky participant was Habil Behrem, the freshman of the School of Business and Economics, majoring in Finance.

 

A group of teachers of the university as well as  the students being interested in information and technologies have participated in the seminar.
