Azerbaijan University organised an event commemorating the 96th birthday anniversary of our national leader,  Heydar Aliyev.

Firstly, participants visited the Alley of Honor to honour the memory of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, they placed flowers at his grave in the morning. To honour the memory of our national leader, a wreath was also laid at his bust in the hall of the University.

University’s chief of staff, the faculty, administrative staff, and students participated in the commemorative event held in the university.

The work done by Heydar Aliyev in the fields of socio-economic and cultural development, to protect and strengthen state-building and independence, and to improve the reputation of our country in the international arena were highlighted at the event. It was noted that contemporary and independent Azerbaijan is the greatest masterpiece of national leader Heydar Aliyev. The current successes and development of Azerbaijan are directly attributed to him.

Professor Etibar Babayev, guest of the event, a well-known journalist, and presenter of “Istanbuldan salamlar’ television programme, worked with the national leader for many years, and interviewed him on numerous occasions, shared his memories of Heydar Aliyev with participants.

At the end, Etibar Babayev’s programme named “Zirve”, which is dedicated to the national leader,  was shown.
