Aqil Karimov the doctoral student of Azerbaijan University received his Ph.D.  degree, Doctor of Philosophy in Economics by decision of the Higher Attestation Commision under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The scientific research work of A. Karimov entitled “Role of Risk Management in Ensuring Sustainable Development of the Banking Sector”.

Aqil Karimov Gadir was born in Baku. In 2010 from the Istanbul University in Turkey he got his bachelor degree majoring in Business Administration, he receives his master degree in Finance from Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences, Germany in 2014. In 2014-2018, he was a Ph.D. student at the Azerbaijan University.

He is currently the Head of Small and Medium Enterpreneurship Banking at Pasha Bank.
