10 students, 2 graduates of Azerbaijan University, and 3 students from other universities succeeded in the PTE (Pearson Test of English) exams and were awarded international language certificates at B1 (level 2) and B2 (level 3) levels. The obtained indicators are equal to B1= IELTS 4-5 or TOEFL 57-86, B2= IELTS 5-6.5 or TOEFL 87-109 according to the equivalence of international exams.

The certificate exam consisted of 2 stages, speaking and writing. The costs of the training and the exam were covered by Azerbaijan University.

Taking into account the wide career opportunities of international certificates, and the advantages gained in the domestic and foreign labor market, Azerbaijan University creates ample opportunities for its students and other persons to obtain these certificates. The PTE (Pearson Test of English), along with IELTS and TOEFL, is one of the most popular certificates confirming English language proficiency at the international level and consists of 6 closely related levels. Tests are held four times a year according to a schedule convenient for students.

Note that Azerbaijan University has been approved as an examination sub-center of PTE. The University has the right to organize training and examinations for this certificate.
