Azerbaijan University was presented at the forum on “Opportunities for International Education in Azerbaijan”. The event was attended by the Head of International Relations Department Elmira Ismayilova, department specialist Sevlan Gurbanova and foreign students of the university Cherif Lahgazi, Abdul Malik Aljaefari, Marina Nasibova and Ruhin Valiyev.

The forum brought to the attention of the participants information on the work done in the country in the field of internationalization of education and increasing access to higher education, statistics of foreigners studying in Azerbaijan, placement of higher education institutions in international rankings and participation in exchange programs.

Hasan Hasanli, Deputy Minister of Science and Education, Ulkar Sattarova, Director of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education, Elmaddin Mehdiyev, Head of the International Development Agency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tamilla Hajiyeva, Deputy Head of the Main Department for regulation of migration processes of the State Migration Service, rectors of higher education institutions, education workers, international experts and foreign students attended the forum.

It should be noted that the purpose of the forum is to switch to a more productive model of the traditional meeting with local higher education institutions at the end of each year, to present the report on the education of foreigners in Azerbaijan for the 2023/2024 academic year, to discuss the development of universities in the field of internationalization, as well as to encourage universities that stand out in the field of work with foreigners according to the Action Plan for 2023.
