A cooperation meeting was held between Azerbaijan University and St. Louis Washington University on the Zoom platform. At the meeting, Azerbaijan University was represented by Yusif Gasimov, vice-rector for scientific affairs, Latifa Agamaliyeva, head of the Science Department, Tunzale Verdiyeva, head of the Department of Social Work Organization, and Aygun Muradli, a teacher of the department and St. Louis Washington University was represented by Aytekin Huseynli, a teacher of this university and co-founder of Azerbaijan Social Work Public Union, Board member Amalya Sezgin, executive director Sanan Agayev and deputy executive director Tural Mirzayev. Uzeyir Shafiyev, head of the Department of Social Work of Baku State University, also participated in the cooperation meeting.

At the meeting, the possibilities of joint participation in the grant project announced by the US State Department regarding the revision of social work specialty curricula among universities following international standards, the strengthening of relations with universities providing social work education, and the establishment of joint social and scientific cooperation were discussed. Discussions were also held on the promotion of cooperation of higher education institutions conducting social work training in Azerbaijan. Yusif Gasimov, the vice-rector for scientific affairs of Azerbaijan University, provided information about the activities of the university he represents in this field, including organized scientific conferences and seminars.
