Representatives of the Azerbaijan Accountants and Risk Professionals Association (ARPA) visited Azerbaijan University and met with students majoring in accounting and finance at the Faculty of Business and Economics. Information about the ARPA “Student membership” package was presented and the students' questions were answered on the topic at the meeting. 

Gunay Shahbazova, Chairman of the Association Board, noted that ARPA was founded in 2009 with the aim of contributing to the sustainable development of the Azerbaijani economy. And in 2019, it was accredited as a professional accounting organization. The main goal of the association is to support the interests and scientific development of students in the field of accounting, risks and insurance. ARPA has more than 1,000 individual, 12 corporate members. 

Tutu Aliyeva, the specialist on working with members, gave information about the “Student membership” package. Solmaz Jafarli, the specialist on training and certification, said that establishing cooperation with higher education institutions is one of the priorities of the Association. Students can attend ARPA trainings and gain new knowledge. 

In conclusion, Nariman Beikkishi, Head of the Finance and Accounting Department, noted that ARPA is one of the most active public associations in the country, emphasizing that all meetings and trainings organized by it are based on topical issues.
