Azerbaijan University held a meeting on the current state of scientific research. The meeting held by Yusif Gasimov, Vise Rector for Scientific Affairs, was attended by Latifa Agamaliyeva, head of the Department of Science, Ulviyya Rahimova, head of the Department of Azerbaijani Language and Literature, Tural Gojayev, head of the Department of Economics and Management, Nariman Boyukkishi, head of the Department of Finance and Accounting, Gabil Aliyev, head of the Department of Social Sciences, Elvin Talyshinsky, head of the Department of Political Sciences, Samira Mammadova, head of the Department of Translation and Philology, Tunzala Verdiyeva, head of the Department of Social Work Organization, Rashad Mastaliyev, head of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, and Aygun Gasimova, head of the Department of Foreign Languages. 

Vice-Rector for Research Yusif Gasimov noted that the strength of modern universities directly depends on the quantitative and qualitative indicators of research carried out there. Azerbaijan University has been working purposefully and consistently in this direction for the past 5-6 years. In his speech, the Vice-Rector informed about position of Azerbaijani University in the field of scientific activity and brought current issues to the attention of audience. 

Later, he department heads tpresented an interim report on current state of scientific research. In their speeches, they brought to the attention of audience the speeches of department's staff at conferences of international and national significance, including information about scientific articles published in international indexed magazines.
